Ken & Janie's JOURNEYS
Walk on Pendle Hill, home of the Pendle Witches
4th June 2006

It was a gorgeous sunny day and we were riding through Lancashire on a different road and came upon Pendle Hill. We had always seen it from a distance and all of a sudden, we were upon it. We were looking for a pretty spot for a picnic so we parked and walked up a bit on the hill and ate our beef & onion sandwiches. Then we walked on about a mile on the hill to watch some hang gliders and some guys flying model airplanes. It was a gorgeous day, wish you could have joined us. Also, Pendle Hill and area was the home of the famous Pendle Witches in the early 1600's. Here is where you can read about them. http://www.pendlewitchproject.co.uk/

The pictures pretty much tell the story so I'm not putting descriptions under these this time, like I usually do. You can see the trail we walked to where we saw the hang gliders and you can tell when we are walking back toward the parking area. If you have any questions, please ask.

I should have put this album after the one below of the car boot near Clitheroe cause we went there first that morning and then on to find a place for a picnic....and ended up at Pendle Hill.
