| We woke up to rain this day, had a good breakfast again and headed home. We were both sad to leave Cornwall. The rain quit about the time we left and we headed north, through Devon, of course - the only way out of Cornwall. Ken took me to Plymouth in Devon, because I had been wanting to see where the pilgrims left England for New England. When he said we were going there, I teared up for JOY! I don't know but I just was so thrilled and kind of relieved to be able to see where that happened and I teared up again when I saw the momument where they boarded the Mayflower. It was a very moving experience which I will always remember. (Thank you, Ken, for taking me there.) When we left Plymouth, we headed back across Dartmoor and enjoyed a lot of lovely countryside before heading on back home. It's a 4-5 hour drive from Dartmoor so we had to get on the road. The weather was beautiful every day (only rained the last night). We both cherish the memories we made and hope you have enjoyed your time with us. ~ Janie & Ken |
