| Ken and I woke up and thought it would be a beautiful day to go to the coast (looked at the weather forecast online and it was supposed to be really sunny, for a change), so off we went to the town of Fleetwood on the west coast on The Irish Sea, a little over an hour from us.
Well, as you can see in the photos, it turned out the be the foggiest day that I've seen in England! It never let up all day at Fleetwood but we still managed to enjoy ourselves. We parked at the sea front first and as you can see, we could barely see the edge of the water at the beach but we got out a few minutes anyway. I was in the mood to see the sea but guess we'll have to go back on a better day. At least it isn't very far away. We went in the market there and enjoyed that. Fleetwood's Indoor Market is a really nice one, ya can get just about anything you want. Fleetwood is a very popular retirement town, lots of elderly people. I told Ken I wouldn't mnd retiring there, wish we could! It is probably expensive, altho it isn't a fancy resort-type town, just a little coastal town. After walking around awhile at the market and outside also, we ate lunch at a nice little fish n chips cafe. Feel free to ask any questions and remember each photo is described underneath it. You can click on each photo to see it (click on Next) OR you can click on the first photo and then scroll down to the bottom and click on Slideshow, whichever ya prefer. Hope you enjoy your little journey with us, even tho it was terribly foggy. Even the fog to me is pretty, in its own way. There is beauty in so many things if you just look for it, don't ya think? |
