Strolling around City of Durham in COUNTY DURHAM

Ken needed to check on something concerning work so we drove up to the city of Durham in County Durham in NE England, about 2.25 hours drive from Mossley, where we live. It was raining at first and dreary but that didn't stop us, we walked around the Durham Cathedral (the prettiest inside that I've seen yet....and SOOO OLD) and looked around Durham Castle a bit but didn't go in this time, and we walked around in the town where they were having a Contenential Market, which is always fun, lots of yummy foods from several different countries!! Ummm good!! Ken got us a big ol' German Bratwurst to share and then we each got a piece of a French Tart, my was chocolate OF COURSE and Ken's was apple (took those home and ate them the next day, as we were going for a proper lunch later). One of the photos is a post card of Durham Cathedral that I bought, we couldn't get a great shot of the whole cathedral cause they had a big tent out beside it, blocking the view, as you will see in one of the photos, where I TRIED to get a shot. The town of Durham is very nice and has lots of shops, anything ya could want. I would like to go back one day and go inside the castle. Hope you'all enjoy the photos and our time in Durham.
